Terms of use

Plain terms for a plain site.

What this site is

dialworth.com is the public face of DialWorth, a firm that measures what home-service phone operations forgo. The site exists to explain the method, let you estimate your own number, and start a conversation. Using it means you accept these terms; if you do not, the remedy is simple — do not use it.

The estimator is arithmetic, not advice

The calculator applies published formulas to figures you type in. Its output is an order-of-magnitude estimate built from your own inputs and stated assumptions — it is not financial advice, not a measurement of your business, and not a promise of recoverable revenue. The measured version of that number comes from a paid engagement, under an agreement that supersedes everything on this page.

Engagements are governed by their own agreements

Nothing on this site creates an engagement, a warranty, or a professional relationship. Scope, fees, deliverables, confidentiality, and data handling for actual client work are set out in the written agreement each client signs, and where that agreement and this page differ, the agreement wins.

Content and marks

The writing, figures, methodology descriptions, and design of this site are © 2026 DialWorth, all rights reserved. DialWorth™ and the D mark are trademarks of DialWorth. You may quote brief excerpts with attribution and a link; republishing whole pages or passing the benchmarks off as your own is not permitted. The self-reported benchmark statements the calculator produces are yours to share freely — that is what they are for.

No warranty; limited liability

The site is provided as-is. We work to keep it accurate and available, and the journal documents our corrections when we get something wrong, but we do not warrant that the site is error-free or uninterrupted. To the fullest extent the law allows, DialWorth is not liable for decisions made on the basis of the site's content or the estimator's output — the estimator tells you whether measuring properly is worth your time, and that measured engagement is where reliance belongs.

Privacy

What we collect and what we never collect is spelled out, precisely, in the privacy notice. It is short and worth reading.
